Geekbench shows a Snapdragon 778G processor in the Samsung Galaxy A73
Samsung Galaxy A73 coming soon with Snapdragon 778G SoC
Geekbench shows a Snapdragon 778G processor in the Samsung Galaxy A73. According to Geekbench, Samsung’s Galaxy A73 will employ the Snapdragon 750G from the A52 5G (there was never an A72 5G), which is more powerful than the Snapdragon 750G from the leaked specifications.
Snapdragon 778G has four A78 cores (including one operating at 2.5GHz), four A55 cores, a near-flagship Adreno 642L GPU, triple ISP, and 5G modem, all from TSMC’s 6 nm foundries (X53).
On top of that, it had 8GB of RAM and was running Android 12, most likely with One UI (should be v4.1). Our A52s 5G review will give you an idea of what to expect from this chip.
There’s no guarantee that A73 and A53 will switch to the Snapdragon 778G. The A53 5G’s Exynos 1200 variant was previously revealed through the Google Play Store. There is no guarantee that the A73 and A53 will be updated to support 4G LTE. A few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A13 and A23 with 4G capabilities, but these are entry-level devices.
The Galaxy A73 is said to include a 6.7″ Super AMOLED display (FHD+, 120 Hz), a 108MP primary camera, a 12MP and an 8MP camera (possibly ultra-wide and telephoto), a 2MP assistant, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W rapid charging, according to leaked specifications.

While the A53 will be smaller (6.52″ display, 120 Hz AMOLED) and have a lower battery (5,000 mAh). It is reported to have the same 25W charging power and a camera with a 64 MP sensor. Galaxy A53’s pricing has been reported to be €470. (a bit higher than the A52s 5G launch price).
According to speculations, Samsung’s Galaxy A73 will be on sale in December, but that’s a long shot. We don’t know the phone’s pricing or release date yet. It’s worth noting that a Galaxy F23 reveal will take place in India tomorrow (March 8), but we don’t anticipate the A53/A73 models to accompany.
